Two people in Regina have been charged with immigration fraud.
Qi Wang, 41, and Yujuan Cui, 40 are charged on seven counts each. They’re accused of acting as immigration consultants without a licence, and provided fake job-offer documents to foreign nationals over six years between 2007 and 2013.
The investigation was launched in 2012 after border services got a tip about possible immigration fraud.
The man and woman were charged by the Canadian Border Services Agency, and made their first court appearance in Regina last week.
