The Regina Catholic School Division will be searching for a new director of education after Rob Currie submitted his resignation.
Currie has been the director of education for eight years, and has a 30-year history working with the school division.
“I feel honoured and blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the students, staff and families of the Regina Catholic School Division over the last 31 years,” Currie said in a statement released by the school division.
“While it feels strange to end this chapter of my life, I look forward to the promise of a new adventure, and more opportunities to compliment my passion for education.”
Currie will officially step down at the end of the 2015-16 school year. He will remain with the school division to assist with the transition to the new director of education.
