The board responsible for Mosaic Place and the Yara Centre in Moose Jaw is being replaced.
This is just one of the recommendations coming from a recent report reviewing the two sporting facilities after both have run deficits the last couple years.
To get the facilities through the rest of the year, $405,000 dollars of emergency funding has been provided.
At 38 pages, the report by Meyers Norris Penny, covers a lot of details regarding where the facility fell short, resulting in deficits the last two years. The report looked at four major areas including financial analysis, governance, management and operations as well as alternative business models.
With the election looming, not much else is expected to come from the report in the short term but city administration has indicated a much deeper review of the governance model is needed.
