Several events happening this weekend in Saskatoon will mark the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season.
People will be lining the streets downtown to take in the Santa Clause parade. It goes Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Also this weekend, people will be getting into the festive mood by paying a visit to the Enchanted Forest.
The Holiday Light Tour, which is now in its 18th year, officially kicks off on Saturday at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park.
The annual tradition, sponsored by BHP Billiton, drew 70,000 people last year and raised more than $200,000 for the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.
The tour remains open through Jan. 7.
Also on Sunday, the Festival of Trees opens at the Western Development Museum.
