An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after a fight with another man on Saturday.
According to a release from the Regina Police Service, at about 4:56 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault of a man with an edged weapon on the 3100 block of Candy Cane Drive and an accident on the Ring Road at Wascana Parkway.
Investigation found that after the argument between the two men, a vehicle with the 18-year-old was forced off the road. He was taken to hospital where he is in stable but critical condition.
At 7:45 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service and the RCMP took 19-year-old Harley Kerr into custody without incident after performing a search warrant on a farm in the area of Qu’appelle.
Kerr is charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving, hit and run, and two counts of assault with a weapon. He will make his first court appearance on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
