Commuters in a community a few hours north of New York City didn’t need coffee to wake up Wednesday.
A video making the rounds on social media shows unsuspecting passengers getting covered in a spray of snow as the first Amtrak train arrives in the hamlet of Rhinecliff.
The video was posted to YouTube by user Nick Colvin on March 15.
Fresh snow completely covers the rail lines ahead of the oncoming train.
People mill about nearby when suddenly the barrelling locomotive – now shown in slow motion – pushes snow out in every direction.
In spectacular fashion, waiting passengers become aware of the impending blast and dive away from the track. It ends with snow sweeping across the frame, likely covering the camera person as well.
