Regina police are warning people in the west and northwest part of the city to lock up their garages.
The warning comes after seven garages and three vehicles were broken into in one night.
On Monday night, garages in the 6300 and 6200 block of Eighth Avenue, along with the 7300 block of Fifth Avenue, 7800 block of Sparrow Street and the 0-100 block of Krauss Street were broken into.
Police said in most cases the doors to the garages were unlocked or that the doors were in poor condition and were not as secure. Detached garages were the most common target.
Everything from sports equipment, clothing, sunglasses, CDs and sunglasses were stolen. In two cases garage door openers were also stolen which police say could mean a return visit by the thief.
The vehicle break-ins happened in the 7800 block of Sparrow Street, 7700 block of Venture Road and the 300 block of Prairieview Drive.
Police said the thieves might have gotten into the vehicles by the doors being unlocked.
As a reminder, police are encouraging people to lock their doors when they leave the garage or vehicle and to remove valuables, including spare garage door openers, from plain view.
Police have not identified any suspects at this time. They added if you do see suspicious activity to call the police station at 306-777-6500 or if you see a crime in progress call 911.
