A man who was making an appearance in court Thursday for kidnapping and robbery charges had to be tracked down by police again after he was mistakenly released from custody.
Daniel Scott, 27, was one of the three people charged after a man was allegedly kidnapped, robbed and left at the Muscowpetung First Nation back in June. The man was reportedly robbed of his clothes and had to walk four kilometres in his underwear to a home where he contacted RCMP.
Scott was charged with kidnapping and robbery with violence, along with firearm offences, on Wednesday.
While Scott was waiting for his court appearance on Thursday, he was mistakenly released from the court house at 4:55 p.m.
Regina police immediately began to look for Scott to arrest him
Police said he was found at a home in North Central after plain clothes officers watched him enter it.
Officers surrounded the home and, after a brief conversation, Scott left the house peacefully.
Scott was charged with obstruction of a Peace Officer and escaping lawful custody.Regi
