The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has arrested a man in Regina for possessing, accessing and making child pornography available.
According to police, the investigation into “an unknown person” possessing and making child pornography available over a peer-to-peer file sharing network began in early June 2016.
The ICE unit obtained child pornography from the suspect between March 11-14, 2017.
Investigators then used subscriber information from SaskTel, which led to a search warrant of a home on the 1100 block of Blackwood Street North in Regina.
According to police, several computers and digital devices were seized following the search.
Salim Alasadi, 49, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and making child pornography available.
Alasadi will appear in court next on Aug. 22.
