A 19-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to two-and-a-half years behind bars after a fatal hit and run last year.
On July 18, 2017, a 50-year-old Ontario man died after being run over by the man who had stolen his truck.
Police found the truck abandoned later that day, and managed to track down the suspect a few days later.
Thomas Nahbexie, who was 18 at the time, was charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving death and theft of a motor vehicle.
Due to credit for time served, Nahbexie has 15 months remaining.
