Fog causing problems on Saskatchewan highways
This fog is so bad a car crashed into a train this morning.
The CN freight train was crossing highway two just outside of Watrous around 6:00a.m when the car crashed into it. The barricades were down and flashing but the driver couldn't see and drove through the barricade
The driver wasn't hurt but will be charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
The Highway Hotline reports that fog is causing reduced visibility around the Regina area and south to Weyburn on Highway 39 and 13. Fog is also reducing visibility on Highway 1 east to Whitewood and north on Highway 6 to Raymore and Highway 15 to Melville.
Fog is beginning to lift around Saskatoon but not before it caused a crash between a car and semi early this morning on Highway 7 between Saskatoon and Vanscoy. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries but the semi drive was fine.
