Uncertainty remains the buzzword for those attending and working at the First Nations University. No one is sure at this point what the future holds.
The province has pulled its funding of the First nations University. And the University of Regina will support students and staff at least until the end of the academic year. Beyond that little is sure.
Many are resting their hopes on the response the FSIN makes to a new report on University governance that is due in two weeks. Despite the fact there has already been two previous reports. Faculty representative Janice Foley hopes it will make a difference.
"Well of course the difference this time is that the province has pulled its funding so one would assume they would pay more attention than they have in the past. One would hope."
Foley wishes she could provide more answers to those involved but she admits until September at least there is some certainty.
