SaskTel is investing 239 Million dollars in its province wide network, including upgrades and improvements.

SaskTel's Andy Tate says the crown will be upgrading its network to the latest generation of "GSM" cell phone technology.

"Basically, it's going to bring in a lot of new devices" Tate says, "and provide really good coverage with the latest technology for our customers."

SaskTel also plans to hit its goal of making internet access available to every home in the province before the year is out.

According to the crown owned company, it has invested three and a half billion dollars in infrastructure since 1987.
