The North Saskatchewan Regiment held an open house on Saturday at the Sgt. Hugh Cairns VC Armoury.
It included a number of activities and educational displays, explained by soldiers returned from Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Africa, and Canadian natural disasters.
"What I'm trying to impress upon our soldiers in our regiment is the importance of the link with the community," explained Col. Dan Whitaker, superior officer at the event.
On Sunday the soldiers will partake in a church parade to attend a service at the Christ Church Anglican building in Caswell Hill.
