A 59-year-old driver from Calgary was found dead after his semi left the road on Highway 7
two kilometres west of the town of Delisle, shortly after noon on
Friday.
This evidence has led authorities to believe he may have had a heart attack or some other medical issue, and died while driving.
They said a vehicle had entered the south ditch adjacent to the highway. Westbound traffic is still open, but eastbound traffic is being diverted around the area on grid roads.
There are no other injuries or vehicles involved.
RCMP
say that the driver has not yet been identified, and the cause of the
collision remains under investigation.
