A group of local artists take to the stage this weekend with '[title of show]', a musical running at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum until Sunday.

Co-producer Kelly Sanchuck explained it's about two guys writing a musical to submit to a festival in New York.

"They basically just write what they know, which is them, trying to write the musical," she said.

"So they document and put in the show pretty much everything they do."

Sanchuck came across the musical a few years ago when the original production was trying to get on Broadway.

Along with a friend, she thought Regina's growing theatre community would love this kind of musical, which she said has "Family Guy" humour.
