The death of a woman found in a Meadow Lake parking lot yesterday morning is being treated as suspicious by Saskatchewan RCMP.
In a news release on Nov 29, RCMP said its Major Crimes section is looking into the death of the 29-year-old from Waterhen Lake First Nation after officers at the Meadow Lake detachment were called to the lot near the junction of Highway 4 and 1 Ave W. on Nov. 28 around 8:50 a.m.
The woman was declared dead at the scene and RCMP said her family had been notified. Police said the death was suspicious.
Officers from Meadow Lake Detachment, North Battleford Police Dog Service and North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, as well as Saskatchewan Coroners Service, are helping Major Crimes with the investigation.
Anyone with information about the woman’s death, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area early on Nov. 28, is asked to call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP, their local police service or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
