9:30 – Leslyn Lewis, a lawyer from Toronto, came in third place to Erin O’Toole and Peter MacKay during the last Conservative Party leadership race. Lewis was the first-ever Black female candidate to run for the leadership job of the Conservative party. Lewis was the number one choice of party voters in Saskatchewan where she finished ahead of new Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole.

To mark the four-decade anniversary, Terry’s younger brother Darrell has collected and edited 40 letters from 40 contributors (including Margaret Atwood, Bobby Orr, Tom Cockrane, Jann Arden, Perdita Felicien and Christine Sinclair) recounting the inspiration, dedication, and perseverance that Terry Fox embodied. Darrell joins Gormley to tell us about the new book (which supports the Terry Fox Foundation), and his brother’s legacy.
