Skype is working to restore service to its users after a worldwide outage.
Just after 9 a.m., Skype tweeted that they had discovered the network problem and are working on rectifying it.
“We’re in the process of reconnecting our users, and focused on restoring full service. The issue did not affect Skype for business users,” the company said on its website.
Users were not able to log in since early Monday morning.
Founded in 2003, Skype is a text, voice and video app that allows users to connect with each other from across the world.
