A false alarm over the Ebola virus made for a scary hour at the General Hospital in Regina on Sunday afternoon.
According to the health region, around 12:30 a doctor became concerned that a patient may have Ebola. So patients in part of the emergency room were confined to their rooms, and incoming patients were re-routed to the Pasqua Hospital.
The scare only lasted about 40 minutes – doctors were able to determined the patient did not have Ebola by then.
A representative from the health region said this was normal procedure for a suspected infectious disease.
