A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday night after an incident near Broadview which closed Highway 1 for a half hour.
RCMP said officers stopped a vehicle about eight kilometres west of Broadview on Highway 1 around 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Officers said the occupant of the vehicle was not being cooperative, so the highway was closed in both directions for safety reasons, and traffic was re-routed
About a half-hour later, the man was taken into custody and the highway was reopened.
The man is being charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, obstruction, and driving offenses. He was released to attend court in Moosomin at a later date.
