Saskatoon police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Alexa Emerson, 30, in connection to a series of suspicious package incidents in Saskatoon.
Brian Pfefferle, Emerson’s lawyer, said she is making arrangements to return to Saskatoon and turn herself in to police.
Emerson, also known as Amanda Totchek, is already facing charges for five suspicious package calls dating back to November of 2016. She is pleading not guilty.
Since the incident on Nov. 29, 2016, emergency crews have responded to eight more calls, including two on Thursday.
Another package was delivered to Pfefferle’s law office. The attorney said the situation likely means his client will need a new lawyer.
“Given she’s a suspect in sending a white package to me, it would not be workable for me to represent her as I’ll be a witness,” Pfefferle said.
Emerson is described as five feet four inches tall, 119 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
