Agribition brings people in the agriculture industry together, even from across the world.
Jaana Auer and her husband Tuomo came to the Queen City all the way from Finland.
“We are with a group of Finnish farmers,” she said. “We are having a tour here in Canada, seeing farms and this exhibition was one of the targets to see.”
This is the first time the couple have travelled to Canada. She joked that everything is bigger here, from the building itself to the cattle being shown.
“The scale is so much bigger,” she said. “Both with the size of the cattle and with the size of the cattle show.”
She said they have cattle shows back home but they are not even close to the size of Agribition. She added the bulls they saw as the group toured the barns were some of the biggest ones she’s ever seen in person.
“Even the farms are so much bigger and there’s so much more cattle on a farm than what we have,” said Auer.
Both of them hope to learn more about the Canadian cattle industry during their short time here.
