The Regina Police Service (RPS) is advising people about a violent sexual offender who has moved into the Heritage neighbourhood.
Dennis Gladue, 57, has a criminal history involving sexual offences and is known for re-offending.
“He poses a high risk for acts of sexual offending against female children. The prospects for reduction of his risk through treatment interventions are poor,” RPS spokesperson Elizabeth Popowich wrote in a news release Saturday morning.
“By revealing the name and photo image of this individual, the Regina Police Service hopes to raise community awareness about the presence of this offender so that people may make informed choices about contact with this person.”
Now that Gladue is released from custody, he must not be in, near, or around places where anyone under 18 is likely to gather — including schools, parks, swimming pools and recreation centres, unless accompanied by an adult previously approved in writing by his parole supervisor.
Gladue also can’t own, possess or have control of any weapon, except if authorized by his parole supervisor.
Anyone who has questions or concerns is encouraged to contact police at 306-777-6500.
