Murray Wood: Are Saskatchewan Roughrider fans still the best in the CFL?
Murray Wood says attendance at Rider seems to be down, even though the team guards the numbers. But with a strong record...
In less than a day, a fundraiser for Joe Reidy has already surpassed its goal.
Reidy lost his right arm in a boating accident earlier this week. Now a gofundme page set up for the 21-year-old man has raised more than $4,000 – twice its original target.
The accident happened on Monday night at Echo Lake. Reidy was in the water when a pontoon boat hit him. The propeller damaged his right arm to the point of requiring amputation, and over 60 staples in his head and abdomen.
The funds from the gofundme page will go to buying a prosthetic limb which can cost up to $30,000.
