A 16-month-old baby who was hit by a truck in the Confederation Park neighbourhood Friday morning has died of his injuries.
Police said they responded to the call in the 100 block of Whelan Crescent around 10:30 a.m. The baby was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His family has been notified and police will not be releasing his name.
Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the incident but the collision analyst unit continues to investigate.
