Blue Jays fans have been waiting for a comeback for a long time and now they have a lot of company.
“It was great. A lot of jerseys around. There was quite a bit of cheering,” said Matt Woods, manager at the Canadian Brewhouse in Regina, on Thursday.
Woods says he’s a fan of the team, having cheered for them, “since the early 90’s when they went and won the world series twice back to back, and they haven’t made the playoffs since … I’m a big Blue Jays fan, I’ve been waiting for this a long time.”
The Blue Jays play the Yankees this Friday in Toronto for the first in a three-game series. Woods expects the bar to be busy for the game.
