The road at the top of Broadway Bridge was blocked for nearly an hour Saturday night after a cyclist ran a red light and collided with a car.
Police said the 52-year-old man riding the bike crossed Broadway Avenue east to west against a red traffic light when he was hit by a vehicle.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life threating injuries and charged with failing to obey a red light.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
