Shell approved to drill for oil in Arctic Ocean near Alaska

Shell has received approval from the U.S. government to drill for oil in the Arctic ocean near Alaska.

Approval was given by the Bureau of Safety and Enviroment Enforcement after Shell established a control system to stop potential well blowouts.
