A heavy police presence surrounds a home in Saskatoon as police try and nab a person with outstanding warrants.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. this morning, members of the Saskatoon Police observed an individual that they knew had warrants out for their arrest.
Police spokesperson Kelsie Fraser said the person walked into a home in the 100 block of Avenue O South and they haven’t come out. Fraser said police believe there is another female inside the home also with outstanding warrants for her arrest.
“We have been getting conflicted information about what’s going on inside the residence, we do not know the number of individuals inside or whether weapons are involved,” Fraser said.
The Saskatoon police’s emergency response team as well as tactical support units and a crisis negotiator are currently on scene trying to end the standoff peacefully.
