The man who stole a bunch of phones from a kiosk at the Victoria Square Mall in June has pleaded guilty.
Devon McCabe was caught on a surveillance camera rummaging through the kiosk’s drawers, the footage was then posted to Facebook. The next day, according to a release from the police, McCabe went back to the mall and attempted to shoplift. He fled the store on foot, was found and arrested.
He was not facing any charges for the attempted robbery.
Devon James McCabe, 29, was originally charged with break, enter, and commit theft. He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of theft. He will spend 12-months in jail.
