There is still a month of summer left, but this afternoon a light layer of snow has shown up in Lake Louise and Bragg Creek.
Images from the Paradise web cam in Lake Louise, which are being shared on Twitter, show a dusting of snow. Snow is also reported in the Hinton-area between Edmonton and Jasper.

There has been a special weather statement issued for Calgary and nearby areas. Environment Canada says upwards of 25-millimetres of rain has fallen, and will continue, with the totals being near 40-millimetres by the time the rain ends tonight.
Calgary could get frost tonight.
