A Regina man is facing 23 charges in connection with a number of criminal incidents over the last six weeks.
Jeremy Tyler Doerksen, 25, was arrested Tuesday leaving a house in northwest Regina. Police say he was walking towards a stolen F350 truck and carrying a loaded shotgun. He was taken into custody after a struggle with police.
After searching the stolen F350 truck, police found over 90 items believed to be stolen. Those include five guns, ammunition, a crossbow, some tools, and other belongings.
Police then obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 1100 block of Blackwood Street. That is where officers found more stolen property.
Among the 23 charges, Doerksen is facing possession of firearm contrary to order, resist arrest, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
He made his first court appearance Thursday.
