RCMP are reminding drivers they need to slow down in highway construction and work zones after handing out tickets to some speeders on Thursday.
Officers in Milstone gave several warnings to drivers passing through an orange zone on Highway 39. A woman was clocked traveling 81 kilometres per hour and given a $333 ticket. A man was also caught going 93 kilometres per hour and given a $488 ticket.
The speed limit in a construction zone is 60 kilometres per hour when flag persons and workers are present. Mounties say workers are at many sites thoughtout the year, and ask drivers to do their part to keep workers safe.
