Three 22-year-olds have been charged after a man was allegedly taken against his will at a Saskatoon bar.
Naresh Kumer Jolly, Sukhpreet Kaur Sahl and Tyler Terrance Smith made their first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Thursday afternoon.
The three were charged after police were called Wednesday around 6 p.m. that two men had apparently taken a 22-year-old man against his will from Whiskey Jacks bar on 8th Street and McKercher Drive. Witnesses said one of the suspects showed a gun.
Police eventually surrounded a house on Fairbrother Crescent in the Silverspring area.
Jolly, Sahl and Smith are facing charges of unlawful confinement, extortion and several weapons offences. They’ll return to court for bail hearings on Tuesday morning.
