With 21 charges already laid against a Mississauga man, the Regina Police Service say more charges may be laid in a fraud case.
Last Thursday, the police got a call from an employee at the hotel Wyngate by Wyndham on Broad Street. They reported a guest who may have booked a room with a fake credit card.
Officers went to the hotel, but the man wasn’t in his room.
The next day, police got a similar car from the Holiday Inn Express on 11th Avenue. This time, they found their suspect at the hotel.
Officers searched both rooms and said they found evidence that points to fraudulent use of a credit card and identity theft.
Ronnie Gordon Sinclair, 53, was arrested. He’s being charged with 18 counts of unauthorized use of a credit card, counts of breach of recognizance, and one count of identity theft.
According to the Regina Police Service, more charges will likely be laid. In a news release, they said they seized evidence that leads them to believe Sinclair has been committing similar crimes in different places across Canada.
