British Columbia RCMP say there is no new information in the case of two men who are on the run, face attempted murder charges in Surrey, B.C. and could be heading to Alberta or Saskatchewan.
The charges are linked to a shootout between two groups outside an elementary school in Surrey that left one man injured. The case is believed to be related to ongoing shooting conflicts in the B.C. lower mainland this year.
Police are on the hunt for Amarpreet Samra, 21, and Shakiel Basra, 21. Samra is described as south Asian, about 6 feet tall, 141 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Basra is about 6 feet 3 inches weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Both are considered armed and dangerous.
They could be in a light coloured Jeep with Saskatchewan license plate: 685 JUD. Both men have ties to Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Police say anyone who sees either of the men should not approach them and should call local authorities or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
