People are salivating at the very thought of winning a record Lotto Max draw of $60 million.
Lineups behind some ticket counters were 10 deep Friday in Regina, with thousands of people hoping to strike it big.
“I’m feeling pretty stoked because $60 million is more than I can even imagine,” said Riley Burrell-Boss on Scarth Street just seconds after he bought his ticket.
He said he buys a lotto ticket every two weeks. Things were a little different for him this time around though, as he had to wait in line behind several other people who all had the same idea of winning the massive prize.
“If I check my ticket and it’s a winner I’d do a little jigger,” he said.
“With my luck I’d probably have a heart attack and drop. ‘I won! Boom, dead’,” joked Joseph Eisler, who’s played the same numbers for 30 years.
“There’s that dream in your mind, that maybe. Why not me?”
Both Eisler and Burrell-Boss said if they won they would spend part of the money on other people first. Others said they would use their winnings to pay off debt, buy a new home, or travel the world.
