The University of Regina Rams were crushed 72-8 by the Calgary Dinos Saturday afternoon at Mosaic Stadium.
The Rams trailed by a single touchdown after the first quarter of play, but the No. 1 Dinos scored majors on four consecutive possessions on the way to their victory. Calgary led 41-at the half.
Calgary quarterback Andrew Buckley completed 21 of 29 passes for 478 yards and four touchdowns.
Rams running back Michael Webber rushed 18 times for over 130 yards in his first career start; Atlee Simon was out for an injury. Webber also scored the team’s only major.
The U of R sits at 0-4 for the season as they prepare to head out on the road. The Rams face Manitoba at Investors Group Field Friday at 7 p.m.
