UPDATED: Body found near Regina's Fieldhouse

Workers walking to the construction site of the new stadium saw police vehicles parked along the railway tracks next to the Fieldhouse early Monday morning.

Police were there for a report of a body of a man. Regina police said they got a call about the body at about 3:30 a.m.

A number of police vehicles were stopped where a train sat silent at about 7 a.m. A pile of railway ties had police tape around it.

Major crimes, the forensic identification unit, and the coroner’s office as well as uniformed officers are investigating at the scene.
