Saskatchewan is still growing, despite the economic downturn.
The province’s population grew by about 3,100 people from April to July this year, bringing the total up to 1,133,637.
That is a smaller total than was reported in April, but it’s because Stats Canada revised their numbers going back to 2011. According to those revised estimates, Saskatchewan’s population in April was 1,130,537.
Most of the increase was from international migration, though some was from births.
