After five days of around the clock talks 12 countries including Canada have reached a deal on creating the world’s largest regional trade zone.
Reports coming out of the United States said a deal has been reached. The landmark deal, which covers 40 per cent of the world’s economy could influence everything from the price of cheese to the cost of cancer treatments.
The deal still has to be ratified by all 12 countries.
Stephen Harper has delayed a campaign stop in Richmond Hill, Ont. this morning to speak to media about the deal in Ottawa.
