Police investigate possible shootings in 2 areas of Regina

The Regina Police Service is looking into what appears to be shootings in two different areas of the Queen City.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Montague Street at 9:51 a.m. Monday after a man discovered what appeared to be bullet holes in his vehicle. The man told officers he had heard the sounds of shots sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., but didn’t realize that his vehicle had been damaged until later in the morning.

Police were also called to the 300 block of Habkirk Drive at 10:05 a.m. for a possible theft. A vehicle’s rear window had been smashed, but the owner discovered what appeared to be bullet or pellet holes in his vehicle, and similar holes in the siding of his house. The man didn’t hear anything overnight, but police believe the possible shooting happened sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Police say there’s nothing to suggest that the two scenes are related.
