A man was found dead early Thursday morning at a house in North Central as police investigate two crimes scenes on Robinson Street.
Police were called at 3:40 a.m. about a person being injured at a house in the 1500 block of Robinson Street near Mosaic Stadium. Police say shots “may have been fired”. When officers and EMS arrived, they found a 48-year-old man dead. The death is being treated as a murder.
The area is blocked off as is an area of the 2200 block of Robinson Street in Cathedral, where tiny holes could be seen in the glass of a sliding door at an apartment.
At the same time officers got the call about the person being injured, another call came in about shots being fired at an apartment building there. Regina police say the shots were fired from outside into the apartment. No one was injured.
Officers could be seen in the areas marking evidence with little numbered cards.
It’s not clear if the shootings are related. There are no suspects in custody.
Anyone with information about these investigations is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or to provide information anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
