It seems like tickets to the new Star Wars movie are selling faster than the Millennium Falcon on the Kessel Run.
Tickets for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens went on sale on Monday for Regina’s Galaxy Cinemas on McCarthy Boulevard North. Even though the film doesn’t open until Dec. 18, manager Scott Amos says a few of the shows are already sold out.
“Thursday night’s preshow is pretty much sold out, there’s like 10 seats left for each show. Friday afternooon’s about half sold out for the first two morning and afternoon shows, and then evening’s pretty much sold out.”
Amos says it’s the fastest-selling show he’s seen in his time at the theatre. However, those who want to see the new film might have a new hope. Amos says the tickets sold so far are for one screen; more screens will be added to the opening.
