Snow forecasted for Regina not to stick around

Meteorologists are uttering that dirty word again, snow – forecasting flurries overnight this week.
 
With a disturbance coming over the Rockies, CJME’s weather specialist John Wilson said there’s a possibility of wet flurries overnight Monday, and more possibility of wet flurries overnight Tuesday.
 
He said it’s all about temperature.
 
“If there is rain at anything below three degrees above freezing it starts to change to wet flurries, and of course those flurries can start to accumulate when it gets down toward the zero mark.”
 
The good news is, the snow won’t stick around.
 
“As soon as the daytime highs go above freezing again, whatever collects at night when it’s colder melts away. I don’t expect anything major to stick around more than a few hours,” said Wilson.
 
He doesn’t know exactly how much snow will fall. Wilson predicted anywhere from a dusting to an inch.
