When they raided a Regina house almost a year ago, police found a treasure trove of illegal items. Now one of the men arrested in that raid is going to jail.
Devlyn Mallette, now 29, was originally charged on 27 counts, including possession of stolen property, possession of drugs and possession of a restricted firearm.
However most of those charges were stayed. On Monday, he was sentenced on four counts: unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, breach of probation, and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
Mallette was sentenced to two years in jail for the last charge, along with several months on the other charges to be served at the same time as the two years. He was also hit with two fines, a firearms prohibition for 10 years and a DNA order.
One charge of possession of property obtained by crime is still making its way through the courts.
