The RCMP needs your help in a suspicious death from five years ago, but they’re releasing few details about 40-year-old Leslee Herndon.
Herndon died in a fire on acreage along Highway 13 near Redvers five years ago.
CJME News has spoken with Herndon’s mother, Sharon. The family is declining to speak publicly. Herndon’s son is only eight years old now and no doubt the pain is very real.
In her obituary, Herndon is described as a happy and outgoing person. She found particular joy in being a mother. She was also an avid volunteer for the Brandon Humane Society and had a particular passion and interest in horses. Her horses “Ace” and “Jude” were her pride and joy.
Police are looking for anyone who may have traveled that stretch of highway or may have photos or video from the night of the fire – July 28, 2010 – between 7:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
Anyone who can help in the investigation is asked to contact Carlyle RCMP at 306-453-6707 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
