The French flag joined all the flags at the Saskatchewan legislature on Saturday, flying at half mast, after the deadly attacks in Paris.
Premier Brad Wall released a statement, writing that he was saddened and angered by the attacks. He sent thoughts and prayers to those hurt in the attacks and their loved ones.
“Yesterday’s attack was a deadly reminder that there are people in the world who do not share our values and who will stop at nothing in their attempts to impose their twisted, evil ideology through violence, destruction and death.”
He said the people of Saskatchewan stand with the people of France and all those who are “against murderous and barbaric radical Islamist terrorism.”
Wall also said Canada should not withdraw from the fight against ISIS, that, when it comes to tyranny, Canada fights.
