Four people may have avoided 65 charges altogether if they would have just left the house.
According to Regina police, they got a call around 10:40 p.m. on Friday. It was a woman who said there were four people in her house, on the 1000 block of Robinson street, who weren’t welcome and wouldn’t leave
Officers met with the woman at a different location and she directed them to her home. In the house police found four people, three women and one man. They also found three guns, a machete, a folding knife, ammunition, 34 grams of what was later verified to be cocaine, cash, cell phones and packaging that police said is used in drug trafficking.
The four people arrested were Brandi Lee Benson, 32, Julie Ann Gray, 37, Winona Worme, 18, and Tyrone Lane Eagle, 18.
Each is facing 15 charges: possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of careless use of a firearm, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose for the machete, three counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
Eagle is also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition. Gray is also charged with breach of recognizance. Worme is also charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace for the folding knife.
